Hi. I am relatively new to homebrew, having assisted with about 5 batches and making 2 of my own from kits. I am attempting a recipe I found, but I wanted to check here to make sure it sounded legit and to get a question of mine answered. Here is the Recipe:

Fermentable Amount Use PPG Color
Briess Pilsen Light DME 6.0 lb 56% Boil 44 2 °L
Briess Golden Light LME 3.31 lb 31% Boil 37 4 °L
Briess Caramel Malt 20L 1.0 lb 9% Steep 34 20 °L
Briess Carapils® Malt 0.25 lb 2% Steep 34 1 °L

Hops Boil time: 60 min
Hop Amount Time Use Form AA
Simcoe (US) 1.0 oz 60 min Boil Leaf 13.0%
Magnum (DE) 1.0 oz 60 min Boil Leaf 20.0%
Cascade (NZ) 0.5 oz 15 min Boil Leaf 9.1%
Centennial (US) 0.5 oz 15 min Boil Leaf 10.8%
Centennial (US) 0.5 oz 1 min Boil Leaf 10.8%
Cascade (NZ) 0.5 oz 1 min Boil Leaf 9.1%
Amarillo (US) 2.0 oz 5 days Dry Hop Leaf 10.4%

Yeasts

American Ale II Wyeast 1272 74.0%

Extras
Name Amount Time Use
Irish Moss 1.0 tsp 15.0 min Boil

If that looks good (though I know the ABV is off from what it should be), I need to know a substitute for Pilsen Light DME. The store where I go has Pilsen Light LME and has Munton's Light and Extra Light DME. Will either of those work? Thanks in advance.

Looks WAAAAAAY more bitter.

Schlafly's APA is not too bitter, but is FLORAL as can be. More hop flavor and aroma than most any other beer.

That looks like a solid IPA. WAY over the top for an APA. Makes SNPA look like watered down bud light.

*EDIT*DOH! Sorry.

Thought the thread said "APA"!
