Ok so im pondering the idea of putting together a chili lime cerveza ale recipe... ive been coming across the articles for chili beer so i thought maybe i could make a batch and see how it comes out. People seem to either love it or hate it (the chili beer concept).

Heres a recipe ive kind of pieced together so far:

0.5lb Flaked Corn
0.5lb Flaked Rice
0.25lb Carapils
0.5lb Caramel 20L

3.3lb Golden LME
2.0lb Light DME

1oz Saaz 45min
.5oz Saaz 15 min

2 tsp irish moss 10 min

Lime zest at flameout

California Ale Yeast WL001

Jalapeno Peppers for bottling

Thoughts or suggestions? Things I should add or remove?

I made one but roasted the jalopenos on the grill (chipotles) and used Vangaurd hops for their lime characteristics. I also used quarterred limes that I zested. I am not a fan of smoked type beers so I think I will try using fresh jalopenos next time.
Gotta a club meeting next week and I like to cook with my homebrew and then bring the food and the beer for folks to sample both. The theme for food is based around salsa verde so perfect time to bring the chili-lime ale...just not sure what to make in the way of food with this beer... any suggestions?
