I'm doing my first all grain tomorrow and trying to see if I got this figured right. I'm going to batch sparge 12 lbs of grain. The recipe calls for about 6 1/2 gallons of pre-boil wort. Here's what I'm not 100% sure on, I would add about 4 1/2 gallons in the first batch, and it would retain about 1 1/4 gallons in the grain. After sparging I would then add 3 1/4 gallons let it sit a bit, then run that off. Is that correct?
