I made an extract brew almost a year ago that was fantastic.

5 lbs amber LME
1 lbs pale DME
1 lb corn sugar
1/4 lb maltodextrine
1/2 lb 90L crystal

hopped w/ 1 oz of amarillo

this beer was a big hit with friends, and i really liked it. Now that i'm going all grain i'm trying to figure out how to conver the Amber LME to grain. I figure 7-8 lbs of 2-row (@ 75% eff), then some cara pils instead of the maltodextrin? then some combination of crystal 60 and 120 for the color since those are what i've got on hand.

thanks

not sure of the exact ingredients, but to replace the amber LME straight up I would shoot for something like 6 lbs of 2-row and ~12oz of the crystals - weighted more on the 60L - maybe 10oz of the 60L and 2oz of the 120L.
