Alright folks, here we go... This IS the easiest and least complicated method for making mead ever brought to light. I'm sure you will appreciate the ease involved in this process.

Mix up your must of 5 or so gallons with roughly 10-15lbs honey--the rest water.

Take the must out into the backyard and dig yourself a hole at the base of a big damn tree--deep enough to comfortably hold that big ol' mix of must you got there

Pour your must right into that hole, toss in a couple packs of dry yeast and let it ride!

Come back in a month or two to check up on it.

When it's done, whenever you want a horn of mead, just head on out to that tree and either ladle some up or just dip your horn in to draw some up that way.

Optional--You may prefer to throw a board over the top of the hole when you're not standing right next to it. This will keep the squirrels and other such critters out of it while you're away--it'll help keep the kids from falling in it too when they're out there running around.
