Usable Rhizomes? (Can I propigate my hops??)

Ok, been cutting back my hops for winter today and I found this:

I have a hop hill with about 3 inches of mulch, the Cascade has gone NUTS and there is root mass all through the mulch now..

I found that I had accidentally cut some off so I trimmed it back to this:

So are these propigatebale Rhizomes? I have a friend up the road interested in growing some hops so I was thinking of giving some away..
 
Agree that it looks fine, get it in the ground, loose pack on the soil dont crush it too much, would also suggest putting a lot of much over it if you are in a hard freeze area...
 
Cyclogenesis, bring some to the Group Buy pick up I will happily provide them with an overwinter dirtnap, I mean a loving home.
