I have had an IPA on primary for 3 weeks now. I would have transferred to secondary before now (as primary fermented at leasy 2 weeks ago) but all carboys were filled w other beers and most importantly I have been to busy to address it. I think I could bottle now straight from primary, but I am slammed busy until this upcoming Thursday. Is it alright sitting on the yeast for another week? It is a relatively light bodied beer on Nottingham yeast that has been kept around 67-68 F and should remain there til Thursday. Thanks!

Should be just fine. Some brewers (including myself) do not use a secondary and leave it in the primary for 3-4 weeks every brew allowing the yeast to clean up.

Of course I will use a bottling bucket. Thanks. Now my only dilemma is that I want to bottle it now so I can drink it sooner!! Ha!

Honestly, I would. I typically keg mine after three weeks depending on the style. I say bottle and sit happy in seven days!:mug:
