On a side note, the delivery guy at my local liquor dropped a 6l bottle of Abt 12 today. Expensive mistake, don't drop the $199 bottle of beer.

I just got home, managed to catch an earlier flight home after being in Austin again all week for work. I thought I'd surprise my wife since I had to stay down there an extra day this week. Turns out she's out at dinner with her sister...I better still get points for this.

Having a manhattan for now (home-brandied cherries). Beer next.

The bottle was intact, thanks to the box. They were afraid to touch it afterwards, half the cage broke and the cork was cock-eyed on its way out.

But to my credit we had some homebrew sampling before I left work and I had several glasses of a Pliny clone, a beer similar to Smithwick's, and then topped it off with a 12% "experiment" beer.
