Beachwood BBQ Upcoming Events

Beachwood SourFest 2011

In the works for over 2 years, the Beachwood Sour Fest 2011 has finally arrived! Starting Sept. 6 -11, Beachwood BBQ Seal Beach will host a weeklong tribute to some of the best sour beers available. Over the course of the week we will have over 70 different sour beers on draft, most of which we've been cellaring for some time. Throughout the week we will pay tribute to over 30 different breweries with special nights devoted specifically to three breweries.

Wednesday Sept. 7th will be New Belgium Brewing night starting at 6pm. Eric Salazar will be on hand to talk about the brews and hang out. We'll also have specially paired menu items throughout the evening.

Friday Sept. 9th will be Cascade Brewing night we're welcoming Preston Weesner and the sour beers of Cascade Brewing, also with special menu items.

Sunday Sept. 11th we'll wrap things up with Patrick Rue and the gang from The Bruery again starting at 6pm and again with special menu items.

There will be at least 22 sour beers on tap at any given time and you can keep up to date on what's being poured by checking out the HopCam . Some of the other sour beers we'll have on hand will include vintage kegs from Cantillion, Jolly Pumpkin, Bear Republic, Avery, Lost Abbey, Russian River, Deschutes, Allagash, Craftsman, Drie Fonteinen, and many more surprises to come.

The master list of sours and the special menu items will be posted at the event and T-shirts will be available! We will be offering beer pours at 5.5 oz. and 10 oz., so you can enjoy as many sours as your acid reflux can tolerate.

This week long event has been thoughtfully compiled and thoroughly researched by Gabe, Kyle and Justin.
