Well... it depends on how much you can get a used keg for in your area. Scrap yards are theifs 'round here and want 80 for beat to crap kegs... bastards! Assuming the kegs are in good shape and the weld is done RIGHT, 140 sounds fair (fittings 20-30, welder 20-30 or a pack of homebrew...)

cabellas has a 15 gal pot for 60... I'd imagine for the extra 100 you could convince someone to weld a fitting for ya ;-)

I'll respond using opinions of multiple sides of the keg camp.

Side 1: Using a keg obtained from unlawfull means is illegal and wrong.
Great price on the keg with a coupling, you will probably not find a better price from a legitimate source.

Side 2: Buy a used keg off craigslist.
You could buy the keg cheaper and have it welded or use a weldless coupling for about $40., especially if shipping is expensive.

Side 3: Go to a beer store you never go to and buy a keg with beer in it.
Drink the beer and never go back to the store again. You just bought your keg for the deposit price. Now go to a small time welder with some home brew and a $20 and your good to go. For a similar price you just got a keggle and 15.5 gallons of cheap beer.
