I did a search but can't find the right answer.

I switched to a keggle setup and my burner (Bayou Classic SQ14) just can't keep up. I'm thinking of bumping up to the BG14 but I really like the base of the SQ14.

Has anyone ever just swapped out the burners?

I haven't tried it, but as long as you could get the new burner secured in there and make sure you have a regulator that will supply enough gas it should work.

The reason I'm asking is because I love the square base for my keggle and I have it built into my brew stand.

You'll also need to replace your regulator with a higher pressure one in order to get any increase in performance, since that's what controls the BTU output. You might not even need to replace the burner; it might work great with a higher pressure reg.
