I drank a bottle of the tripel yesterday and thought, what the hell, I'll culture this yeast from the bottle. It was only a 12oz. bottle so I'm slowly stepping it up to build a good cell count. My question is if anyone has made this recipe, and if so, has anyone used yeast cultured from the bottle?

I haven't made this, but I am putting together a Westmalle type tripel using the guidelines from Brew Like a Monk. It sounds pretty similar. Pretty simple recipes, but the trick is in the water and the fermentation temps. They have moderately soft water and ferment initially in the mid 60's then do a long secondary in the 40s.
