Just wanted to throw this out and see what anyone has to say.
I made an AG American Amber last night, and when I was done and said with everything, I realized that I had really wet grains... So I went ahead and sparged them as best as I could, boiled for about 30 minutes, hopped them, and came out with 3 gallons of 1.016 beer. Tossed some english Ale on top (its what I had on hand) and now am waiting to see how it goes.
I know this beer will end up being around 1 or 2 percent alcohol, but it was more of an experiment.
The American Amber was 1.070 for a 5.25 gallon batch.
Has anyone else tried this and had decent results?
Cheers
