I'm planning on making a California Common this weekend and was wondering about hops. I know most receipt call for Norther Brewer Hops, but was wondering if about some other options. I have about 1lb of Cascade, Chinook, Centenntial hops and a couple of ounces of Yakima Golding Hops. Any suggestions? I going to keep the IBUs around 30-35, I can get Northern Brewer, but I figured I can save a little money and use what I have. Thanks for the help

Yakima Golding are probably the closest substiution of the ones you list if you're trying to brew to style. It wouldn't have the signature woody/mint hopping, but earthy would work.

I wouldn't think you'd want a Citrusy hop.
