While uncracked grain last fairly long when you store it in a dry and temperature controlled place ... how long last cracked grain? I don't have a mill and I am thinking about buying larger amounts soon. Any ideas?

Thanks

I've heard it will last a few weeks if you keep it in an airtight container in a dry cool place. The best is to get a Barley Crusher or something and crush your own right before you dough in. Then you can buy bulk and your savings will pay for your Barley Crusher pretty quick.
