Has anyone ever used BrewVint Alcohol Boost from Austin Homebrew Supply?

Austin Homebrew Supply

The website says add it whenever you add your other sugars and adjuncts. I wasn't sure what that meant. So I called them, and they weren't really sure.

I was thinking 20 minutes from the end of the boil would be appropriate.

What do you think?

Have you ever used it? Does it add off flavors? Like a boozy hot mouth feel or anything? They claim it doesn't. Its only 14oz, I would figure it doesn't. I could probably replicate the same thing with table sugar.

I've used it in my beers before, usually my hopped up pale ales. I can't pick up any off flavors or dryness from it and I've been very satisfied from the results.

Although, I don't think table sugar would be an adequate substitue, this has a much finer texture and I think it's a blend of sugars.

Give it a try.
