My sister went to Vermont and picked me up a case of Heady Topper. My friend wanted to do a trade for a Founders KBS and a Bourbon County Cherry Rye. He wanted ten of my Heady Toppers just for the Bourbon County.

Is this just ridiculous? No way am I giving up almost half of my beer for a single bottle.

What do you guys think of this?

I wouldn't do this trade, but I would trade ten pennies for one quarter.
I also would have prefered to keep Prado and Delgado and three lessers to receive Upton and Johnson, or 5 for 2. I probably overvalue Prado.
It's a trade if both parties think they end up with the better deal.

Noting that your friend seems to be the one who initiated the trade discussion, your friend seems to value the Heady Topper. Counter with one Heady Topper for both the Founders KBS and a Bourbon County Cherry Rye.

Heady Topper goes for around $13/4 or $3.25.
Founders KSB $23.59/4 or $5.90
Bourbon County Cherry Rye $23/22oz

One Goose Island bomber and one Founders 12oz = 28.90 = 8.89 Heady Toppers. Less if you prefer IPA's.
