Anyone see this? Happened a couple days ago. Schorschbräu Schorschbock 57% finis coronat opus did hold it for awhile. I did some basic math to figure out how much ice you would have to pull out of a 5 gallon batch. You could only get a 6 pack in the end if you started with 5gal of 8% ABV bock just to reach the old record of 57%.

Sounds disgusting. I don't even like liquor that high in abv. So they get a meaningless title until someone manages to make a 66% abv beer next year to top it.
 
I tried an Eisbock in Germany when I was stationed there that poured like molasses and was like beer flavored syrup with a helluva kick to it. Don't recall what the ABV was but us GI's drank it straight out of the bottle while most the Germans we knew would mix it with another beer like Bitburger Pills. Think I almost fell on my face after drinking my first bottle.
