I have an extract recipe for an English Pale Ale which I am quite fond of. I want to produce the same product using All Grain.
Extract recipe:
3.3 # Light LME
2.0 # Light DME
8 oz Crystal 60L (Steep@160 Deg)
1 oz EKG @ 60 Min
1.5 oz Glacier @ 5 Min
2.5 Gallon Boil
So I am thinking that the grain bill would calculated as follows.
Pale Malt:
(3.3/.75)+(2.0/.67)=7.4#
I am led to believe that the required hops additions would be less. How do I calculate this? Thanks.
