I plan to grow my own hops and need to know how do I process the hops before putting in the wort?? And how should I convert a recipe that has hops listed in pellet form???

Hop additions are by weight so no conversion is needed. No processing is needed either in order to use them.

I'm pretty sure pellet hops are stronger than leaf - I think I read that in one of Charlie's books.

Homegrown hops might have an unknown amount of Alpha Acids, so maybe better to use them for late additions only.

Just make sure they are well dried, otherwise a lot of your weight is in water.

well...there's actually nothing wrong with wet hops...you just have to add slightly more (oz wise) to get the same bittering effect if you go strictly by weight. I know people that pick them off the vine on brew day and throw em in...to each his own. You can even FWH with wet hops....supposed to work great I hear.

Rule of thumb is, do what you want, I aint gonna stop ya!
