I've been looking into making a new mash tun for a while now to try out fly sparging and I was wondering if anyone knows which is more efficient: a perforated ss false bottom or a slotted false bottom. I spent some time looking through the archives, but I could only find comparisons between false bottoms and slotted manifolds.

Yeah, uniform flow is what you are after. I don't think in this case it is going to make a difference at all. As long as everything else is pretty much equal anyway.
