I'm new and I am trying to learn more about brewing, so as I can help my husband. He has been brewing for about 4 years now. I will probably be more of a "lurker"...

Welcome! It's always great to have another female on board. My hubby and our best Friend are the beer snobs in our brewery but I'm the one that has turned into the recipe/technical department. They drink most of the beer but I'm better at making it.
