I am going to brew an Amber Ale and was going to use the IPA yeast cake that I am going to rack that same day. Should I wash they yeast first? My concern is the high IBU from the IPA might carry over to the Amber Ale.
I have read up on washing yeast, but on my first attempt I couldn't tell when to pour off the liquid...after 15 minutes it looked like nothing had settled out. Perhaps Bobby_M could do a video on this :rockin: this seems like one of those things that once you see it, it all makes sense.
