If you are buying homebrew stuff in UK I have an idea for a hop exchange.

I'm buying Hops in 5Kg minimum quantities from Charles Faram (Charles Faram Web) but I want a range of hops and I wont use 5kg quick enough. I have to freeze them. The cost is about 17 pounds a kilo whereas buying it in 100g pouches from homebrew shops (68 pounds a kilo). If others bought other hops we could exchange and save a lot of money and have a greater variety of hops? Let me know if you are interested.

I think if you use a kilo a year it make sense. You can freeze them and we could end up with every hops we want for a quarter of the price????

I came across your post although I appreciate it's quite old. I'm fairly new at all grain and would be interested in this type of exchange. Can you give me an update?

It's eight years old. EIGHT YEARS. :)

you'll get more luck on jbk if anyone wants to swap, there's a few people who buy 5kg bales I think
