I have a question that hopefully someone can answer. I have been making wine for several years and just started brewing beer...just bottled my second batch. The fermentation bucket lid for wine making has a rubber gasket to keep out the air. The brewing bucket that I'm using for beer doesn't have a gasket. Do I have to worry about air getting in and ruining the beer after fermentation has slowed down?

No, not really. It will be protected by a layer of heavier CO2. Also, even though brew buckets lids do not have gaskets, they still can be airtight.
