Set up my first batch yesterday and it is currently fermenting in the cupboard under the stairs. Now i've thought of something and think I might have screwed up.

I Steralized everything before I started but i've only just realized that although I steralized my fermenting bucket inside I didn't run anything through the tap, i.e. I kept it closed and just cleaned the bucket out from the top.

The bucket was brand new and had not been used before,

Will it wreck my beer when I transfer it to the keg or are there any steps I can take to prevent this? :(

You should be fine, but you could also siphon if you are concerned. Just don't mouth-siphon, buy an auto-siphon for a couple of bucks (people who have them SWEAR by them).
