How long should the initial run off time be and then what about the batch sparge run times??? How long is recommended to let sit after adding sparge water before draining in batch technique???

I'd say initial run off time is as long as it takes. Start slow, erring on the slow side until you get to know your system. I believe slower is better for efficiency too.

I let the sparge water sit for 15-20 minutes, stirring every 5-10 minutes. I believe this also helps efficiency.

for batch sparging, let it drain as fast as it can, without getting bits of grain. my SS braid lets tiny grain bits thru unless I only open my ball valve on the MLT about 75-80%

add sparge water, stir, wait 5 mins, vorlauf, then let er rip.
