I used an Elmers glue stick for my labels a while back. It worked great. very easy to remove and cheap.

Good looking labels BTW!!!

library paste?

What exactly do you do to the milk to make it a paste? I've heard mention of this before but I thought it was just milk.

I don't think so.
Living as a bachelor I'm familiar with the crusty milk that forms under the cap on the jug. I think that's basically what happens here. It dries, so it comes off easily, and it doesn't really spoil/rot and stink because it isn't wet enough to harbor a significant bacteria colony.
