I've been brewing for a few years now and have never had any problems with cloudy beer. Now all of my beers are cloudy and so I'm going through some of the changes that I've made lately, and I'm wondering if it is the decoction process that I'm now using. At the end of the mash I trake %50 of the grist and bring it to a boil for 20 minutes. I then add it back to bring the temp in the mash tun up to 170 where I do a batch sparge.

It also may be that I've switched from a continuous sparge to a batch sparge, and maybe I don't recirculate enough. In fact I haven't been recirculating very much at all.

Any thoughts would be helpful,

Chaz
