It's the night before my brew and I just found out I have super soft water. Can I use spring water to ensure better conversion for my mash? I have no chemicals and brewing salts to adjust it before tomorrow.

As I said in the other thread... absolutely. I recommend Crystal Geyser if you can find the 1 gallon bottles. They are $1.00 at Albertsons. Otherwise, use Spring/Mineral/Distilled drinking water.

If mashing, yes use spring water. Do not use distilled/reverse osmosis water because it does not contain the necessary minerals. If it's extract, it shouldn't matter too much.

Indeed, distilled/RO contains NO minerals, and would be even worse for these purposes when compared to your tap. Read the labels. The best one for these purposes would be something like "natural spring water," not "purified drinking water with minerals added for taste," as there would only be a minimum addition, and most likely not of the stuff you'd be looking for.
