Is three weeks too long to keep a high gravity beer (1.080-1.090) on the yeast cake in the primary? Thanks. :rockin:

What is a "closer taste profile"?

Anyways, I have left high gravity beer on the yeast for 3 months without issue. All of my low gravity beers get 3 weeks.

Don't know if you read anything by JP or Jamil but both of them talk a lot about this as well. You need not worry about that extra week. I have a stout that was 1.100 to start and it was in primary for 6 weeks before I racked to secondary to clear it. It's going to be fantastic!

I have a barley wine that was around 1.1 that's been in the primary for close to 3 months. I'll be bottling it fairly soon.
