I'm currently fermenting a mead that i am going to rack onto some raspberries. I plan on leaving most of it still, but was wondering if it was possible to use some of the cooper carb drops to make a few bottles carbonated. I just started it about five days ago so it will be quite a while til i bottle. Just wonderin. My recipe was 6# of clover honey for a 3 gal batch and D-47. From what i read it should finish pretty dry. thanks.

sparkling mead is tricky. if the yeast still have tolerance left at bottling, it will work.

another option is if you fully ferment it dry, you can add champagne yeast at bottling time.
that can sometimes renew fermentation though.
