Keggle cutting

Well i went the fast route and kinda got burned. lol

I took my first keg to my buddy's cycle shop to cut the top out with a grinder when he says why don't we fire up the plasma cutter.......(Que the ear to ear smile as it fire's up). Things went great till we removed the cut out and noticed the SLAG. Will a little bit of brown slag in the bottom hurt my BK? should I sand/polish it out? Anything we should have done differently?

So what do you think? sand the slag out? It'll be fine?

Def gonna have some water in there for the next one.

I made a rig out of PVC and threaded rod. Cutting (er grinding) the top of the keg off was a snap. A perfect 12 inch circle in less than 5 minutes. The griding disc lost about 1/4 of an inch ... not bad at all.

Yes, you'll want to get rid of it to prevent any rusting. You'll also want to re-passivate the surface after sanding. I've had decent results using barkeepers friend.
