A local brewery is selling their 55 gallon used and neutral barrels for an incredibly reasonable price, and I am looking for 3-4 people to help fill it. If you're unfamiliar with the sour solera idea, the plan would be to purchase a barrel together, each brew an equal amount of beer to fill it, and let it age for a year or so. After a significant amount of time, we would pull some out of the barrel, each getting an equal share to bottle or continue fermenting as we please. At this point we would top it of with fresh beer and let it go another 6 months or so before taking our 2nd pull, and so on. The more people get in on this, the less we get but the less we have to brew. With 4 total partners, we could aim to brew 15 gallons each, with some leftover for top during the long aging. You can private message me for more information.
