Does anyone use 3/4 inch CPVC for thier mash tun manifold? I was going to use 1/2 inch because that is what most people use but I got a 10 foot section of 3/4 inch for $2.30. I couldnt argue with that but was wondering if this is too big?

Mine is 3/4" and it works great. IMO the size of the gap you use would be something to pay closer attention to. I just used a hacksaw to cut the slits and with my mill set to .036" I don't have to worry about stuck or slow runoff.

Thanks for the reply. I am still second guessing mysize due to my ball valve is 1/2 inch, and I cant seem to figure out how to connect.

mine is 1/2" CPVC but you should be able to buy a CPVC 3/4" to 1/2" adapter for the tubing for under 50 cents I would bet.
