I saw this in the BYO DIY projects issue. It's a very easy KDF water filter.

Took a whole 2 minutes to put together. Seems very solid.

Parts from Home Depot:
1x 2" PVC coupler
2x 2"->1/2" PVC threaded bushing
2x 1/2" hose barbs
1x 1/2" hose adapter.

Total cost: ~$20

I don't think shower head filters are designed to remove chlorine/chloramine...

Edit: I see that says it does, I just can't see how at such a high flow rate...
 
it will be better than unfiltered water, but will not compare to an actual charcoal canister filter.

is good for 10,000 gallons
it sure does say that. we all know theres never misinformation on amazon listings.................
