First Batch of Hard Cider - Weird Looking Trub

Is this what my Trub is supposed to look like? I just racked from Primary to Secondary and this looks a bit odd to me.

Looks a bit infected to me, sorry to say.

That is just where bubbles are released from the sediment and leave little holes. It's perfectly normal, don't worry.

yup, that's what mine ends up looking like after I finish bottling or racking, the surface of the moon.

Thanks for the response. I thought I had some kind of nasty infection as well. It freakin looked like a giant petree dish to me.

Glad to hear others have had the same result and that it is not an infection.

looks perfectly normal to me. almost like the yeast cells. just bottled my cider last night and it looked exactly the same.
