Is it ok to use screw top growlers for bottling sparkling cider? I have some grolsch bottles and a bottle capper, but I wanted to do some in growlers too.

i wouldnt suggest it. If you dig there was a thread a while back about carbonating beer in growlers however it was decided that they were not preasure vessels and should not be used. If you want to risk blowing up the glass and risking delicious cider then go for it but its not something i would try.

In theory, it should hold beer's normal serving pressure - that's how you get the beer home from the bar.

But as you well know, once you open that bad boy, it's pretty well gonna end up flat in a day or two.

Why bother?
