Thermometer problem

I have a long stemed turkey fryer style thermometer and a short stemed digital meat thermometer. They read about ten degrees differently from each other. I gotta believe ONE of em must be wrong! Any ideas on how to find out which one, or recommendations on the best thermo. to get?

Calibrate them and find out. Boiling water at sealevel is 212F, ice water is 32F. The turkey thermometer most likely has an adjustment nut on the back.

Get some cheap vodka and heat it slowly. The alcohol will boil at 172F and the temperature will stay there until nothing but water is left. (Yah, I know this isn't absolutely true, but it's close.)
