Best Bottle Capper

I am interested in the opinion of all readers on this subject on what is the best bottle capper. I do not want/need a bench capper since my priority is kegging instead of bottling, but my problem comes with the bottles that I recieve, mainly amstel light bottles which have a similar head shape to heineken. Of these three which is the best, most universal.

Those are all about the same as far as I know, but aren't amstel light bottles twist off? You don't want to try capping those.

Make sure you get one where the clamps come out. They have 2 different size cresents for different bottles.

I had both ther Black Beauty and the Red Baron for several years. I could never get the Red Baron to work, maybe it was a lemon but I finally threw it out. The Black Beauty has worked perfectly on all types of bottles. I know there are some threads where brewers swear by the Red Baron, but not me.

I have the red baron, works fine.. but the black one is cooler looking...

I have 1 and 2 as well as a bench capper.

For me, #2 works much better than #1. It has more heft, and seems much more precise.

If you want the Red Baron, and you live in the U.S. send me a PM or email with your address, and I'll mail it to you. If you're happy with it, you can refund me the postage. If you're not happy with it, you can forget the postage and pass it on to somebody else.

Have you used #2 on both types of bottles, by that I mean the standard micro brews and the ones that are similar in style to Heineken. Thanks

Personally, I would take ajf up on the offer first. Otherwise, I'd spend a little more money and go with the Agata. It is so fast and easy and you can cap 48 in about 2 to 3 minutes.

Probably. Most of my bottles come from Micro-brews or England. I do have a few that have a slightly different nexk diameter, and it doesn't work well with them. These may be the same as Heineken, but I can't be sure.

Get a bench capper especially if your going to cap Heiny bottles, ive busted a few with my Emily. The bench capper is expensive but you can cap almost any bottle any size easily and fast. Its also good to have a cheap one for backup in case one breaks which would absolutley suck balls,

I have the red baron variety, and frequently cap amstel light bottles (parents drink it regularly), works great. I'm not terribly fond of the bottles due to the label and light color of the glass, but the capper works well.
