I'm making a GF brew for my wife and was thinking of adding some GF oats to it. Should I toast them or not? Also curious if I should just steep them or boil? And how much of the oats for 2.5 gallon batch?
Also while I was looking through our surplus of GF cooking supplies, I found some sweet potato flour. I've read lots about people using sweet potato in their GF beers, but are they using flour or chunks of whole potato? Can't you just add the flour to the boil like a DME?
