Alright, I split an 8 gal batch into 2 4 gal. buckets. I bought some Wyeast 3711 French Saison, and I had on hand a packet of Nottingham. I pitched 3711 into 1 bucket, and Nottingham into the other. I stirred the saison first, did not rinse and sanitize my spoon, and used it to stir the Nottingham in its respective bucket. So, what now?
Beer will be made, so that's good. But will the Nottingham in its much higher concentration stifle the 3711 stowaways? Will they fight for dominance? What's going on inside that bucket I wonder? And what will come out?
On this brew day, even prepared ahead of time, just about everything went a bit awry. Oh well. Beer will be made, that's the mantra.
