Some newbie questions, hope you all don't mind?

What is this Boost I have heard talk about? I am surmising that it increases the acholol content of the brew.

How is it used?

How much do you use per 5 -6 gal batch?

What brands are available?
 
Marketing term. It is just corn sugar you add to your wort. Typically around a cup. Raises the gravity and can contribute a cider flavor in larger amounts. Really not necessary if you are into the *flavor* of a beer.
