So I was brewing an Imperial Stout a couple weekends ago and added twice as much Maltodextrin as the recipe called for by accident. It called for 4 oz. and I used 8 oz. I checked around and it looked like this was not an excessive amount for a 5 gallon batch anyway. Anybody have any comments about whether this will adversely affect the beer? This is the first time I've used Maltodextrin. Thanks.
 
One thing you'll definitely notice is you won't hit your final gravity, so dont stress over being above it. I can't see more body being too bad though in an Impy Stout...
