wouldnt ya know it we have a frost warning and we just planted the hops... any suggestions for covering them... they are plants... I was thinking buckets?

thanx

Hops aren't as sensitive to frost as some other plants, but I wouldn't risk it either. Buckets will work. I usually use tomato cages covered in clear plastic.

Cool... Here they are btw... 10' x 40' area... Gonna have two telephone poles at each end... 20 footers... 4 feet in ground... so 16' tall over all... We have nice thick cable we are gonna strand from one end to the other.. I figure 4 stakes per plant for the bines... Will have 20 plants total, but only have 15 now... 3 each of

Cascade
Centennial
Chinook
Columbus
Hallertau

Then gonna get liberty and two others...

Yes... I have a whole farm. :) Nah, just a cracked bowling ball... lol... Might make it the center piece. Actually, I though a kickass hammock in the middle would be awesome... Cant wait till these things start growing. :)
