I read that this might be a preservative. It does say that it's been pasteurized.
On the ingredients it does say "May contain sulfites."

This juice is real cheap 50% off right now. You think I should buy some and try it out?
 
I have a bit of a problem with companies that don't know what is in their products. But, sulfites tend to lose their ability to kill and you could probably ferment it successfully.
