Purple Haze Clone

Has anyone here ever made the Purple Haze clone from Austin Homebrew? (Or any other purple haze clone for that matter). I'm trying to figure out what to expect before I make one this weekend for a birthday present. I'm a little iffy about the AHS one because it uses a raspberry flavoring and I know a lot of people have shunned fruit extracts for their soapy flavor. I am not totally against it because it is apparently the raspberry flavoring used by the Celis Brewery when it was open here in Austin; which means it is not necessarily an extract? I'm not really sure. I need help please.

I am pretty sure that the flavor in Purple Haze is from an extract. I would not hesitate to buy a clone from AHS, I have never heard anything bad about their clones, most are dead on.
