Planning a somewhat small (3.75 gal) stout based on some leftover grains and hops. The recipe calls for warrior (1.5 oz) and cascades (1 oz). I have some magnum and glacier left over from a prior planned brew that I never made. Would those be suitable substitutes or am I better off sticking with the warrior/cascade? Thanks in advance.

your substitutions don't seem to match. this doesn't mean you won't make a great-tasting beer - it will just taste different than the original recipe.

On the other hand, as far as I know, it won't really matter what you use for the bittering hops - they contribute little, if any, flavor or aroma. So a magnum for warrior swap at 60 minutes is probably just fine.

Yay, you'll still make fine beer with those subs, but they aren't that close.

Magnum is OK for Warrior if they are bittering additions though.
