I have a belgian blonde in the primary that is still going (og=1.086) and it has been in there for almost 18 days and the yeast cake looks like it is half the carboy. How long is too long? (I can't take a hydo reading cause I broke it .....AGAIN:mad:) .

I just racked one to secondary that I brewed on 11/25, so that's 25 days? If you've still got bubble activity then let it go...I really don't think you need to worry for another ten days at least.
