Hey all, I've got all my parts together for my 1500W LWD RIMS tube and I'm getting close to building. Potting I think I'm clear on, I'm going to use a short length of stainless tubing and have it tacked to the element nut and then seal with JB weld. But as far as grounding the goes I'm not 100% clear. Anyone have any photos of what they've done?

Thanks samc, I had looked that one over a few times but was looking for RIMS tube applications specifically. I guess I can have a ground lug welded to the tube?

Certainly can solder/weld to the tube. I like the element enclosing using the rubber pipe fitting that someone showed in that thread. You can eliminate using JB Weld and also it is easily replaced in case of element burn out. Wish I had seen that before I did mine.
